The Role.

GMC Utilities Group, the country's leading utility provider, offers a complete service and turnkey solution to the utility and civil engineering industries and carries out projects throughout Ireland and across the UK. The Group has been involved in major projects such as road, rail and infrastructural projects, water supply and sewerage schemes, gas network and distribution projects, water network and distribution and rehabilitation projects, water meter installation, electricity network enhancements and renewable energy projects.

Due to further growth in its activities, the Group is now looking to hire a Meter Reader. This role is based in the Greater Dublin region.

The successful candidate must have a full clean driving license.

Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Reading the meter with an electronic device
• Recording the reading
• Checking for any damage, unauthorized connections or defects in the meter

The Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies:

• Full clean driver's license essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to be resourceful, hands on and work both independently and as part of high-performing team
• Ability to take initiative and ownership.
• Be proficient in Excel and Word
• Some flexibility to work outside normal working hours to meet deadlines.
