Financial Accountant (EMEA) at Riot Games Dublin Office

As Financial Accountant (EMEA) in the Riot Games Dublin office, you will play a key role in supporting senior leadership in Europe by overseeing reporting, compliance, and processes while managing statutory statements and contributing to annual fiscal audits in the EMEA region. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, your exceptional judgment and integrity will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes and systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in all aspects of full-cycle accounting, including creating journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing monthly reporting packages, addressing queries from the central accounting team, and resolving discrepancies
  • Lead the year-end financial process by collaborating with the external audit team, tax advisors, and reviewing local financial statements
  • Manage compliance for various Riot subsidiary companies through cross-functional teamwork with departments such as Talent, Legal, and Treasury
  • Investigate and address unusual transactions by coordinating with different teams to ensure appropriate accounting treatment
  • Maintain a rigorous monthly reporting schedule within established timeframes
  • Analyze account fluctuations, monitor trends, and work with other teams to gain insights into financial movements
  • Interpret financial data, respond to finance-related inquiries through data analyses, and provide ad-hoc reports
  • Communicate financial information clearly and factually to stakeholders, keeping them informed and aligned with organizational objectives
Required Qualifications:
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Possess a professional accounting certification like Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) or equivalent
  • Demonstrate proficiency in generating reports and analyses using Excel and accounting software such as Oracle
  • Previous experience with Big 4 or mid-tier assurance training and 1-2 years of post-qualification accounting or finance experience
  • Experience in year-end financial processes, external audit coordination, and familiarity with local financial statement sign-offs is a plus
  • Background in payroll would be advantageous

Success in this role hinges on your expertise, collaborative mindset, and decision-making that prioritizes the Rioters who benefit from your work. A passion for gaming is not mandatory for this position.
