Corporate function provides a wide range of services to the organization such as finance, internal audit, communications, security and human resources. Treasury sits within the Finance area. The Dublin Treasury Centre consist of various multi-regional functions across US and International Treasury - Cash Management, Global Bank Administration, Strategy & Oversight and several other functions.

About the role

What you need to know:

The purpose of the role is to support the Treasury activities of AIG globally by maintaining and enhancing the control framework and ensuring Treasury Operations is compliant with AIG policies and standards. This role sits under the Treasury Risk & Compliance function in Dublin and the role responsibilities include:


• Work closely with the other Treasury teams to understand the business, identify risk issues and promote solutions to manage risks


• Manage new and expiring policy exemptions and update the Treasury Policy Exemption tracker on a regular basis


• Interpret and advise on Treasury policies


• Work closely with the Treasury teams to ensure all controls (both SOX and Non-SOX) are designed and operating effectively and improvements to controls are implemented to mitigate against risk


• Handle queries and requests from Internal Audit, External Audit, SOX and Operational Risk Management


• Assist with coordinating the SOX sample testing program for Treasury Operations


• Support the Treasury teams with the SOX Walkthroughs and Presentations


• Participate in Audit testing and remediation work as required


• Assess and report Risk Events in a timely manner to Treasury Management


• Prepare KRI (Key Risk Indicator) metrics on a monthly basis for Treasury Management


• Adhoc tasks as delegated by Treasury Management

What we're looking for:


• Relevant experience in a Risk, Compliance or Audit role within a Corporate Treasury or Banking environment or similar is preferable


• Experience in handling Audit and SOX requests


• Global Capital Markets (GCM) experience is also desirable


• Good knowledge of industry standards and best practice for Financial Services including payments and banking

The successful candidate will have the following skills:


• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is vital


• Ability to work in a focused manner and to take ownership of own work without close supervision


• Shows initiative and is proactive in anticipating and solving problems


• Ability to accurately perform manual tasks (e.g. updating Excel records)


• Must be able to communicate information clearly and concisely to stakeholders as needed, including to Senior Management, in both written and verbal format


• Must be fluent to a native level in written and spoken English


• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others and independently


• Proficient in Excel
