Our client, a leading asset manager are currently seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join their Dublin city centre based finance team. The role holder will provide financial analysis on a range of corporate accounting topics and support plans to improve efficiency, with the opportunity to provide insightful recommendations to updates in accounting policies, procedures and controls.

The Group Financial Accountant's tasks will also span the processing of day-to-day financial transactions, preparation of monthly management accounts working in collaboration with the FP&A team and involvement in the planning of annual audits and the production of statutory financial statements.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of accounting ledgers
  • Preparation and reporting of management information, cash flow forecasting, and key involvement in the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting process
  • Performance of month end management and year end statutory consolidations working as part of the group consolidation function
  • Involvement in external audit process and the preparation of financial statements under IFRS and FRS 102
  • Managing of the Irish AIFM's obligations and adherence with standards issued
  • Working with the Head of Accounting and other team members to optimise use of current and future technology

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with ideally 1 - 2 years PQE
  • Knowledge of asset management or private equity, AIFMs, IFRS and FRS 102
  • Strong team player with ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues across jurisdictions
  • Excellent Excel knowledge and general system proficiency
