Job Description

Join the elite team at Version 1, a distinguished AWS Premier Consulting Partner offering the highest level of AWS Partnership. As a part of our AWS Practice, you will collaborate with top Architects, DevOps Engineers, and Consultants. You will have the chance to work on diverse customer engagements and stay at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies. Your role will involve being part of teams that deliver solutions to prestigious customers across Europe. Version 1 is invested in the growth of our team members, supporting you in obtaining Associate, Professional, and Speciality certifications, as well as relevant additional training.

As a Solution Architect, your responsibilities will include implementing and supporting large-scale cloud projects on Amazon AWS. Some of your key duties will involve creating and executing cloud solutions for various applications, automating cloud operations and deployments.

  • Take ownership of designing solutions that utilize advanced analytics, data pipelines, web portals, statistical models, Machine Learning, and AI through our technology platform.
  • Benefit from the knowledge and experience of a diverse team of Solution Architects specializing in Risk Capital and Enterprise Architecture.
  • Excellent design and effective communication skills are essential in explaining complex solutions to non-technical audiences and extracting details of intricate business processes from subject matter experts.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying complex applications, especially event-driven cloud-native applications, and integrating enterprise solutions.
  • Proficiency in Agile/DevOps and providing consultancy to application development teams on these methodologies.
  • Expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, including PaaS services like S3, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, Docker, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, SageMaker, among others.
  • Understanding of distributed application design, patterns, and a track record of creating design diagrams and documenting standards.
  • Familiarity with modern data stack technologies is a significant asset, such as Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake, StreamSets, and more.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Solution Architect.
  • Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Proficiency in Linux (RHEL, Centos) and Bash scripting.
  • Understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Ability to commute to Dublin, Ireland.

Preferred criteria:

  • AWS certifications at Associate and Professional levels.
  • Background in security practices.
  • Passion for technology and hands-on experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, NodeJS, Java, .Net, etc.).
  • Knowledge of CDK, Typescript, and Terraform.
  • Interest in mentoring and facilitating the development of others.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, based out of our Dublin office, with an expected on-site presence of 2 days per week.
