Our client The Land Development Agency (LDA) is a Government Commercial Semi-State Body delivering affordable housing on State and other lands. It is overseen by an independent board of directors and is funded with €3.75 billion of committed Government equity, with a borrowing capacity of an additional €1.25bn.

The LDA has commenced construction on various state sourced lands and is currently progressing c.20 direct delivery projects with the capacity to deliver c.8,000 homes. It is also delivering affordable housing by working with the private sector on an initiative called 'Project Tosaigh', which will yield a further 5,000 homes on land provided by housebuilders.

Additionally, the LDA is working on large-scale longer-term strategic areas by master-planning and bringing forward planning applications in locations such as Limerick Colbert Quarter, the Digital Hub in Dublin and Sandy Road in Galway.

Key Objectives:

The Real Estate Investment Analyst will work within the LDA's investment function, whose responsibilities include the development and implementation of the agency's delivery and funding strategies.

The Analyst will provide transaction support role during prospective acquisitions via Project Tosaigh, under which, the LDA enters into forward purchase of forward funding transactions in order to facilitate the delivery of affordable homes.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that transactions are thoroughly evaluated and executed effectively, ultimately contributing to the success of the organisation's strategic initiatives.

The successful candidate will also collaborate with and assist the LDA finance and asset management teams in monitoring and reporting on the LDA real estate portfolio to ensure alignment with capital funding models and reporting obligations.

The Analyst will also support the delivery of high-quality real estate financial modelling output to support the agency's assessment process and to facilitate wider reporting and budgeting processes.

Reporting to the Investment Manager, this is a hands-on role that offers significant responsibility and opportunities for the right candidate to advance their career and support the LDA's delivery ambitions in the delivery of residential housing.

Key Responsibilities:

· Financial modelling and commercial analysis of real estate/property development and investment/acquisition opportunities

· Review and monitoring of existing projects within LDA portfolio. Preparation and presentation of monthly reports and annual review papers to senior management.

· Contributing to investment papers and recommendations to the appropriate internal delegated authority.

· Assist in the due diligence of prospective Investment transactions and aid the monitoring of programme risks and deadlines.

· Assist in the procurement of commercial service providers to assist in due diligence..

· Preparation of cash management forecasts and development of KPI report monitoring for internal and external stakeholders.

· Conduct research on potential investment opportunities, this may involve gathering information from various sources such as industry & CSO publications and market data.

Knowledge & Experience:

· The ideal candidate will have 1- 3 years relevant experience (Corporate Finance, Real Estate Investment, or similar)

· Familiarly with excel and financial modelling.

· Experience in management information reporting.

· Proven ability to leverage analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Demonstrable ability to connect with people regarding financial and commercial issues.

· Experienced working to tight deadlines.

Desired Criteria:

· Corporate finance and/or Investment experience beneficial

· Experience in property development or real estate investment industry would be a distinct advantage.

· Ability to manage a diverse workload and comfortable in a changing and expanding team. environment
