Electrical Safety Program Manager, AWS Health & Safety

We are looking for an Electrical Safety Program Manager with expertise in electrical system design, operation, inspection, servicing and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a solid knowledge foundation in electrical system design, operation and maintenance and a proven track record of designing & improving electrical safety programs & policies. They must also be proficient in creating roadmaps for the standardization and centralization of safe electrical work practices. They will have a history of leading change across diverse teams and entire regions. The candidate must have the ability perform in-depth analysis of trends in electrical system reports & internal/external audit findings related to electrical & related risks.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Maintain an up to date understanding of Electrical Safety regional regulatory requirements and industry best practices and be able to build compliance systems and programs around these requirements.
  2. Develop and improve maintenance programs and policies for electrical systems, including audits of existing programs in compliance with local codes and global standards.
  3. Partner with Risk Management and other key stakeholders in changes to the electrical system maintenance programs, aligning with insurance requirements as applicable, including system inspections and testing.
  4. Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards.
  5. Support operations, construction, and other relevant departments with product development and testing.
  6. Audit electrical system maintenance practices regionally to identify deviations and corrective actions.
  7. Monitor trends in electrical system maintenance reports, and escalate as necessary to drive improvements to maintenance activities, or immediate corrective actions to electrical systems.
  8. Develop and improve installation, commissioning, and inspection processes, including audit practices, related to electrical systems.
  9. Provide support to global electrical safety program as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in technical product or program management.
  • Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
  • Familiarity with international product safety, electrical safety codes and regulatory standards: including CUE, IEC, ISO 13849, IEC 62061, ANSI/RIA 15.06, NFPA 70E, UL 508A, IEC
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams.
