Logistics Specialist

My client, a Galway based medical device manufacturer, is seeking a Logistics Specialist experienced in the management of international land, sea and air freight on a 12-month contract.

Responsibilities

· Management of large international inbound and outbound shipments.

· Analysis of logistics data, monitoring of trends, and reporting on areas for improvement.

· Reporting on KPIs, exceptions, open shipments, damages.

· Provide accurate shipping forecasts for inbound & outbound shipments

· Ensure delivery schedules are maintained

· Ensure compliance with ISO13485 of both process and document control procedures

· Management of the performance of multiple partner carriers

Requirements

· Experience dealing with air, sea and road freight providers as well as express parcel couriers.

· Import/Export freight experience, and knowledge of customs procedures and International trade documentation requirements.

· Proficient in MS Office.

· Degree or equivalent in Logistics / Supply Chain would be an advantage.

· Travel may be required as part of this role (advance notice will be provided)
