On behalf of our Manufacturing Client in Clonmel, Co Tipperary we are sourcing a Warehousing / Logistics Manager to join their Team. This is a senior leadership role and candidates who have a proven track record in Leadership & Managing staff and who come from a Warehousing , Logistics or a Production background will also be considered for this role.

Job Purpose: To support the business through effective management of all Warehousing and logistics activities. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks via systems approach in all aspects of the warehouse and logistics operations. An absolute leader who directs the work of others in order to bring about change and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

· Ensure customer needs are met on a daily basis.

· Managing the Company's operational warehousing and logistics functions to ensure the maximisation of efficiencies, space utilisation, productivity and the minimisation of costs in use for all aspects of the functions.

· The Distribution of the Daily Warehouse capacity and activity reports for warehouse locations.

· The distribution and review of Finished Goods Insight Status reports for all agreed locations daily.

· The management of all assortment staff and ensure assortment plans are achieved to target.

· The creation of a Daily space and despatch allocation plan and distribution across the functions to include operations and supply chain teams.

· The creation and agreement with operations of the weekend space allocation and stock movement plan and communication thereof.

· The design of and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and standard operating procedures for the Warehousing and Logistics functions.

· To assist the Warehouse Coordinator in stock counting and agree stock counting adjustments in line with agreed SQA procedures.

· Working with Senior Management, Commercial, Customer Service teams to determine and implement the most cost effective solutions for the transport of product to our Customers.

· Establishes, follows and enforces all Health and Safety standards and procedures in compliance with a healthy work environment and legal requirements and in particular Forklift use and rules in relation to communications and Forklift use.

· Develop a strong and open communications strategy for the Department.

Ensure that a Clean as you Go approach and Best hygiene practices are implemented for warehousing and Logistics operations

Skills / Qualifications/ Experience:

· Minimum of 5 years previous warehouse/operations experience.

· An absolute high level of comfort with IT Driven warehouse systems workings.

· Ability to manage processes on the factory and via systems.

· Ability to manage team members effectively.

· Reporting skills

· Ability to accurately analyse information

· Detail-oriented

· Deadline-oriented

· The ability to react decisively in quick moving situations

· Be willing to challenge/change people/process and operation methods

· The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, warehousing and Logistics environment.

This role is working on site 5 days per week on site in Clonmel but you may have to travel to other local Warehouses.
