Job Description:
As an IT Support specialist at Kepak, you will provide 1st level day-to-day technical support to a dynamic office and production environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and in-house application issues
- Managing service desk tickets for the site
- Procuring hardware for the site
- Delivering outstanding customer service by promptly answering calls and ensuring courteous and professional communication
- Working as part of a larger team to meet individual and group targets
- Providing excellent customer technical support and striving for first call resolution with each case
- Liaising with internal departments to resolve customer queries and complaints
- Logging support information and actions to the relevant database/system
- Supporting a production facility in addition to the primary office location
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A third-level qualification in the field of IT or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of experience in a technical support environment
- Excellent working knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems
- Knowledge of Windows Servers, both physical and virtual
- Experience with VMWare/Hyper-V and virtual backup technologies (Veeam)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory administration skills
- Experience with network patching switches and wireless installations
- The ability to work effectively as part of a larger team
- A pleasant, patient, and friendly attitude
- The ability to take ownership, organize workload, and adapt to changing priorities quickly
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A third-level qualification in IT or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of experience in technical support
- Excellent knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems
- Experience with Windows Servers, VMWare/Hyper-V, and virtual backup technologies
- Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory administration
- Experience with network patching switches and wireless installations
- The ability to work well in a team
- A pleasant, patient, and friendly attitude
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
