What You Will Achieve

You will be part of Pfizer's manufacturing division and support production, business, and other processes in a team-based environment.

As a Process Scientist with Technical Operations in Drug Substance Proteins, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. Your ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical deliverables. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will facilitate in solving difficult issues between teams and help in establishing consensus.

How You Will Achieve It


• Contribute to the completion of 12k DSP complex projects, manage own time to meet agreed targets and develop plans for work activities on own projects within a team.


• Identify, execute and support continuous improvement and process robustness opportunities and projects.


• Act as Responsible Person and provide Subject Matter Expert support during major investigations.


• Trouble-shoot and provide sustainable solutions for root-cause analysis and safety problems.


• Effectively use the site business processes to support production e.g. change control, deviations, Method 1 investigations, etc.


• Ensure alignment between the process, the plant, the automation and process operators to run processes per Process Safety and Product Quality attributes and share best practices with teams.


• Adhere to appropriate levels of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).


• Support operations in a day-to-day capacity. Provide routine process technical support, trouble-shooting and resolution of manufacturing process and technology issues to ensure the successful completion and disposition of batches in a timely manner.


• Experience writing technical documents, including SOPs, batch records that describe protein manufacturing unit operations and processes.


• Deliver presentations that distil complex ideas and proactively communicate results and progress to technical teams, management, and business leadership.


• Troubleshoot issues arising through the Investigation (ER / QAR) process including but not limited to leading technical investigations and supporting the implementation of immediate CAPAs.


• Identify and implement improvements to recurring process and procedural inefficiencies.


• Perform real time Process Monitoring, trending and data collation to support problem definitions, and development of remediation plans

Qualifications Must-Have:


• 3+ years experience


• Demonstrated ability to provide technical solutions to complex problems through product and process knowledge


• Strong understanding of 12k large scale Upstream and Downstream multi-product manufacturing processes


• Demonstrated ability to lead process investigations and implement process robustness solutions.


• Proactive and effective communication within and across shifts


• Excellent mentoring and interpersonal skills


• Demonstrated aptitude for technical learning and problem solving.

Demonstrated ability to deliver continuous improvement and process robustness projects that matter.


• Experience or aptitude in leading and managing project work/teams.

Nice to Have:

  • Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Veeva Vault access and Investigator training
