Material Planning Advisor – HES (High End Storage) Service Parts Planning Fixed Term Contract When you're working in the fast-moving world of technology, product availability is critical – which makes the availability of raw materials for production critical too.

Our Service Parts Planning team provides a controlled flow of materials to meet customer install requirements.

We produce detailed schedules, adapting them if necessary to meet backlogs or material shortages, as well as driving parts critical shortages to the supply base to support parts requirements for field service.

We're experts at resolving problems with inventory, backlog or material shortages and recommending procedures to avoid future problems through both systematic and forecasting analysis.

What you'll achieve As a Material Planning Advisor in the Service Parts Planning team,you will be responsible for ensuring continuity of supply to enable customer demand is always met, maintaining strong and effective supply chains, working collaboratively with both internal & external stakeholders and driving to continuously reduce backlog in the field.


You will:

  • Understand product demand requirements for assigned products to ensure appropriate level of supply, aligning forecast assumptions with segment forecasters and translating customer and financial requirements to actionable forecasts through the supply chain
  • Maintain continuity of supply for assigned products to maintain standard lead times, managing supply imbalances, correcting as quickly and cost effectively as possible
  • Develop forecast methodologies to ensure that we are systematically driving all service parts requirements to the supple base, using prudent inventory and financial decision making processes
  • Work with product management teams to ensure that products are successfully introduced into the marketplace and that for service parts these launch with accurate forecast and supply, ensuring that we have parts to support in the field all New Product Introductions. Manage all backlog requirements for service parts globally, aligning forecasting analysis to field service requirements, working with field service teams in multiple countries to ensure that any backlog issues are remedied & corrected as quickly as possible Take the first step towards your dream career Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table.

Essential Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience
  • Strong understanding of planning, forecasting and supply chain activities
  • Comfortable working with internal & external stakeholders to resolver customer parts escalations
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to provide recommendations to cross-functional teams
  • Good influencing skills and experience with senior decision makers Desirable Requirements
