What's the Deal?

This position provides a unique chance to dive into the wide range of technologies necessary to run Bank of Ireland, from established systems to cutting-edge technologies as the bank progresses towards its digital evolution.

It offers the right individual exposure to various aspects of information security as the team plays a pivotal role in all IT changes to the bank systems, necessitating analysis, identification, reporting, and support for these changes.

What You'll be Doing:
  • Conduct impartial assessments of the security aspects of current or proposed solutions
  • Identify all relevant Information Security components
  • Identify designed controls and control gaps
  • Highlight and document risks introduced by the design to Bank of Ireland
  • Ensure documented solutions align with the business's control requirements for protected data assets
  • Evaluate firewall change requests for security control appropriateness in web-based solutions involving Bank of Ireland data
  • Perform Security Supplier Due Diligence assessments of 3rd Parties handling Group Data
What Sets You Apart:

Being a Subject Matter Expert in key Information Security control areas, with a solid grasp of risk control frameworks like NIST or ISO 27001.

Deep technical knowledge across hardware, software applications, especially cloud-based technologies.

Bridging the gap between technical and business knowledge, and collaborating effectively with business partners.

Required Qualifications:

A relevant 3rd level degree in Information Security or industry certifications such as CISSP or equivalent.

This hybrid onsite role is based in the Republic of Ireland with the main office at ITC, Cabinteely, Dublin 18. Occasional travel may be needed for face-to-face collaboration.
