Aecom's Ground Engineering Practice covers all elements of Ground Engineering serving a wide range of end markets including highways, rail, water and energy sectors.

We're looking for an Associate Level Director within Ground Engineering to join our office in Dublin. With an exciting and growing project portfolio, there is no better time to join us

Job Duties include:

  • Deliver: Leading the team in project delivery, work winning, workload management, staff development, growth plans, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and raising the company profile.
  • Provide Expertise: Extensive experience, knowledge and skills in geotechnical engineering and/or engineering geology, including the ability to undertake and check geotechnical design, calculations and analyses. Leading the development and enhancement of our ground engineering expertise.
  • Ensure Quality: A strong working knowledge of Irish and UK ground conditions and ground investigation techniques and practices.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what's possible?

Here's what we're looking for:

  • BEng / MEng in Civil Engineering or BSc / MSc in Geology, Engineering Geology - Chartered Geologist or Engineer status is required
  • Strong analytical skills together with in-depth knowledge and experience in the application of current design codes and guidance documents in ground engineering, soil-structure interaction, geotechnical design and construction of shallow and piled foundations, earthworks, strengthened earthworks, ground treatment and retaining structures.
  • To be successful, candidates must have a proven track record in the delivery of ground engineering projects in the UK and Ireland and be fully conversant with the technical standards that apply.
  • You will preferably have extensive knowledge of Irish Rail, Transport Infrastructure Ireland and Department for Infrastructure design and reporting processes, and those of other statutory agencies for the in Republic of Ireland and the UK.
