What You Will Do?

  • Lead a diverse range of audit assignments across various sectors.
  • Ensure thorough planning of all audit tasks and provide advance briefings to staff regarding assignment-specific risks.
  • Produce high-quality financial statements and audit reports with practical recommendations to address identified risks and control weaknesses, supported by clear rationale.
  • Oversee multiple audit assignments simultaneously, optimizing time and resources efficiently.
  • Establish effective working relationships with client staff across departments to facilitate the audit process.
  • Keep the Partner informed on significant assignment issues at all times.
  • Execute audit tasks to high standards, adhering to FRS102 and Irish GAAP, effectively managing key risks within set timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Demonstrate full compliance with the Firm's policies, procedures, and regulations, understanding the authority levels of the role and relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide supervision, on-the-job training, and mentoring to junior staff assigned to audit projects, actively participating in Performance Management initiatives as needed.
  • Possess over 3 years of practical experience in a practice environment utilizing Irish GAAP and FRS10.

Essential Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years practical experience.
  • Demonstrable grasp of risk, Irish GAAP, FRS102, and CA2014, along with awareness of current issues.
  • Proficiency in devising audit strategies and Terms of Engagement for engagements.
  • Technical expertise and practical understanding of FRS102, Irish and UK GAAP, and CA2014.
  • Ability to work with a diverse client base across multiple sectors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project management abilities and adept at handling multiple tasks concurrently.
