We are working exclusively on a confidential basis with a pharmaceutical company based in the Midlands. We have a new appointment for a Senior Engineering Manager This person will oversee Maintenance, Engineering and Project Management within this Green Site. This is a Hybrid based position site is based in Athlone.

In the Maintenance area you will lead the Reliability function; providing guidance and standardization. In the Engineering area you will oversee implementation, that the site has the required technical documentation and industrial safety documents are in place and available. In the Projects management area you will provide leadership in the Project Management function inside the site aligned to company strategy.

Experience supporting equipment's in a solid dosepharmaceutical company is a must for this position.

Key Individual Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing maintenance procedures and ensure implementation in site.
  • Ensure the reliability of Plant's assetswith common practices across the company.
  • Technical KPIs: To ensure 24x7 availability of power supply, To ensure high level of availability of equipment's so that MPC can be achieved ; To develop maintenance budget and meet it.
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuringtechnical feasibility.
  • Projects: To propose and implement the Projects at site.
  • Coordinates with Site Project Engineers for the flawless execution of projects..
  • Provide advice to PM of site referring to Timing, scheduling process, budget controlling, procurements.
  • SHE : To create a safety culture in the department and to ensure that all equipment's are safe to operate.
  • Quality : Audit readiness for regulatory and customer audits
  • Team Building & People Engagement : To create a high performing & motivated team which delivers more on a sustainable basis. Determining the need for training and talent development .
  • Providing clear and concise instructions to engineering Team.
  • Compliances / LTO: To ensure 100% Compliance to legal requirements ,SOP's WIs and other rules & requirements.
  • CSV: To Support compliance to CSV requirements.
  • Planning and execution of work as per planning with different stakeholders i.e. operations, contractors.
  • Budge t: Review of budgets for projects and maintenance areas of the site.

  • Helps develop Process Safety area.
  • Technical guidance to TechOps sites.
  • Lead on Corporate technical standards redaction and troubleshooting.

Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry in a FDF plant/site
  • This could include Maintenance leader (+5 years), Project Management (+5 years) Engineering manager (+2 years) Production supervisor (+2 years) desirable
  • Degree in Engineering, or technical Management or other discipline.
  • Previous Experience supporting equipment's in a solid dose pharmaceutical company is essential
  • Excellent teamwork capability, focus on client (Plants).

  • Knowledge of working in a multicultural environment.
  • Working knowledge of different engineering disciplines and how they relate to one another
