The Treasury Director is responsible for managing, supervising and developing the A/P and A/R team for the IPL North America division, as well as identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function. This role also entails strategic financial management, risk mitigation, and optimization of the division's working capital structure, cash flow, and liquidity. A successful candidate will be results oriented and deadline driven, have the capacity to manage and mentor the treasury team, build and maintain strong relationships throughout the broader organization, embrace and influence change, and demonstrate the ability to successfully handle multiple priorities.

Job Duties

· Leadership and Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of A/P and A/R professionals within the treasury function, fostering skill development, team building and a culture of risk awareness.

· Treasury Operations: Lead the execution of daily treasury operations, including cash collections and disbursements, cash flow forecasting, intercompany funding strategies and transfers, capital expenditures and liquidity planning. Responsible for streamlining monthly close processes, cash reconciliation, preparation of data and reporting for internal & external auditors.

· Cash Management: Oversee the company's cash and liquidity management, ensuring efficient use of cash resources to meet operational needs and debt obligations.

· Credit Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify, assess, and quantify financial and operational risks that the company may face. Develop strategies and mechanisms to mitigate these risks effectively.

· Contractual Risk Management: Review customer and vendor contracts, agreements, and business relationships to assess potential risks and ensure proper insurance coverage to mitigate liabilities when applicable.

· Banking Relationships: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, negotiating terms, fees, and services to optimize banking services and minimize costs.

· Treasury Strategy: Collaborates in part with Group Treasury function to help develop a comprehensive treasury strategy that optimizes the company's capital structure, cash management, and liquidity while minimizing financial risk.

· Compliance: Ensure compliance with Internal Controls Framework and SOX controls, respond to internal and external audit requests, and provides recommendations to improve control structure.

· Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; MBA preferred.

· Certified Public Accountant status highly preferred

· Previous experience leading Finance Transformation or implementing Finance Shared Services at a medium size corporation strongly preferred

· Minimum five years of experience in a leadership financial function is required

· Treasury operations experience or exposure preferred

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Thorough knowledge of financial best practices and requirements with a proven ability to provide sound and ethical financial counsel to executive leadership.

· Thorough understanding of and personal involvement with systems and methodologies of finance and administration.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
