What You'll Be Doing:
  • Developing technology for cutting-edge MMORTS mobile games using Unity (for various platforms) aimed at engaging millions of everyday players.
  • Collaborating closely with diverse stakeholders to deliver efficient and user-friendly technology across multiple platforms and projects.
  • Engaging in a diverse role that encompasses anything from optimizing network stacks to crafting tools for Art.
  • Cooperating with the game server core technology team to jointly create highly efficient technologies for multiple games.
  • Contributing to a multidisciplinary team that follows a scrum-oriented process.
  • Thoroughly testing your code and collaborating with QA engineers to iron out bugs and achieve sprint objectives with superior product quality.
  • Working alongside our Platform team on aspects such as Login processes, authentication, and IAP.
  • Innovating ways to enhance technology sharing processes, collaborating with other engineers to integrate these enhancements.
  • Developing content pipeline tools and editor extensions to streamline production.
  • Coordinating with the Art team to incorporate stunning artwork into the game and utilize Level Of Detail to ensure smooth performance across various devices.
  • Collaborating with the game server team on tasks like managing persistent game data, error handling, network connections, and efficient data transfer & storage.
  • Being part of a cross-disciplinary team that follows a scrum-based process.
  • Rigorously testing your own code and closely working with the QA team to resolve issues and meet sprint goals with high-quality output.
  • Engaging with our Platform team on areas like Login, authentication, creating accounts, and obtaining data for general content, etc.
  • Devising strategies to optimize processes and working with fellow engineers to implement these enhancements.
What We're Seeking:
  • Extensive experience in the game development industry within a core technologies team. Background in Triple A console/PC or mobile games is desirable.
  • Proficiency in developing 3D games using Unity (or Unreal) is preferred, but strong core tech skills and knowledge of C# (or C++) can substitute for this.
  • Proficiency in C# (.Net 3.5/4.0) or C++.
  • Understanding of real-time rendering and rendering bottlenecks.
  • Ability to write low-latency, low-garbage code in C#.
  • Enjoyment in resolving complex technical challenges in large systems.
