I am seeking a Buyer for a client in Shannon.This is a Fantastic Opportunity for suitable candidates .PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for ensuring materials are available to meet production requirements.Execute the Materials Requirement Plan (MRP) by ensuring efficient and effective procurement & inventory practices and optimizing the balance between quality, service, reliability and cost.Prepare and raise Purchase Orders with 3rd Party Vendors & Inter Company as required.Responsible for maintenance of Purchase Orders on ERP system.Understanding 9-Block forecasting methodology desirable but not essential.Action in a timely manner any inquiries from Vendors.Update all pricing in a timely and accurate manner on the supplier price catalogue.Contact suppliers for expedites, communicate quality issues, past due shipments, and stock-outs.Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships.Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures.Track in-transit shipments working with carrier websites.Vendor Acknowledgments – Third Party and AODD.Review price, description, lead time against PO.Action discrepancies.Sales Order Acknowledgments – Daily review - Go through and schedule orders accordingly - NOTE any specific requirements.Communicate parts delay to Customer Services and Operations in a timely manner and update customer sales order dates with new promised ship dates.Respond to inquiries from Customer Service and Engineering pertaining to placed PO's, scheduled deliveries or quotation requests.(Lead time inquiries, improvement requests, and pricing requests).Focus on and encourage continuous improvements (CI) of the process being supported (e.g. MRP Automation / MS Excel Macros initiatives).Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory requirements.Work closely with Quality Assurance to manage supplier qualification processes.Machine/Subcontract WO generation – for part modifications.Comply with Health and Safety Policies.Provide cover for department membersAssist with Cycle Count activitiesParticipate in the in Annual Physical InventoryEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:CIPS/advanced degree or equivalentCustomer service or sales experience in a technical area of a company.Experience in procurement activities complying with medical device and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, supplier document vertifications, product certificaitons and adherence to ISO *****.2+ years previous experience in a similar end to end Supply Chain/Purchasing rolewithin a high volume/fast-paced environmentProficiencies in Microsoft Excel packagesStrong knowledge of ERP systems SAP/ORACLE (JD Edwards preferably)Power BI or similar data analytics visual tool knowledge is desirable but not essentialOTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detailA strong self-starter who uses initiative to identify, communicate and resolve issues as they ariseFlexible and Pro-active attitudeUnderstanding of Lean Six Sigma PrinciplesAnalytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem-solving abilitiesAbility to input and record data accurately and efficientlyAbility to work well under pressure in a fast -paced environmentGood communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skillsThe ability to act on your own initiative as well as part of a teamAble to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve KPI targetsWORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:Experience within an office environment and manufacturing complex and the performance of general office functions.Attention to detail – Right first timeGeneral manufacturing, warehouse, and office environment.Key Result Areas:Outsourced Contract Management:Lead the day-to-day management of outsourced facilities service providers (e.g. cleaning, maintenance,waste management, grounds maintenance).Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met or exceeded.Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of suppliers.Estate Management:Maintain oversight of all buildings and grounds across the group's estate, ensuring they are fit forpurpose, safe, and compliant.Plan and coordinate repairs, refurbishments, and minor capital works.Compliance and Health and Safety:Ensure all nursing home/care center sites comply with relevant health and safety, fire safety, andenvironmental regulations.Maintain records of statutory inspections and certifications (e.g. gas safety, electrical testing, fire riskassessments).Budget and Reporting:Manage the facilities management budget, ensuring cost-effective service delivery.Prepare reports for senior management on performance, risks, compliance, and improvementinitiatives.Strategic Planning:Contribute to long-term estates strategy, advising on asset lifecycle planning, sustainability, andregulatory trends.Identify opportunities for service improvement and innovation.Qualifications and Experience:Third Level qualification in Facilities Management/Engineering/Health and Safety or Building Services.Minimum 3 years post graduate experience in Fire, Health and SafetyProven experience in a facilities management role with responsibility for multiple sites.Experience managing outsourced or contracted FM services.Strong understanding of compliance in a healthcare or regulated environment (e.g. CQC, HSE).IOSH or NEBOSH certification.Knowledge of PPM (planned preventative maintenance) and CAFM systems.Experience within a healthcare, nursing, or residential care environment.Recognised FM qualification (e.g. IWFM Level 4+).Project management experience.Skills and Competencies:Excellent organisational and contract management skills.Send your cv to (email protected)
