Role overview
The BIM Technician will play a key role in the development, coordination, and delivery of digital models and drawings to support design and construction projects.
This position requires a strong understanding of BIM processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage 3D models using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other BIM tools
Assist in the preparation of coordinated BIM models for use in design, construction, and facilities management
Generate accurate and detailed 2D drawings and schedules from models
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure coordinated design output
Perform clash detection and coordination reviews
Maintain BIM standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of workflows
Support site teams with BIM-related deliverables and queries
Participate in project meetings and provide input on digital delivery strategies
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in BIM, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
2+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or engineering sector
Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and related software
Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and BIM Execution Plans (BEPs)
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
