Role Summary: Dawn Meats Kildare is currently recruiting for a Quality Control Assistant to join our Quality Control team.
The role involves working closely with the Quality Manager and Production Supervisors to ensure all products meet specifications, Food Safety, and Legal requirements.
Responsibilities include conducting checks related to food safety, good manufacturing practice, hygiene, product specifications, and performing regular quality and due diligence checks as part of the pre-requisite and HACCP systems.
ResponsibilitiesYour role will involve addressing a wide range of challenges in a busy quality and production environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: Carrying out pre-production cleaning checks of the area with the cleaning supervisor to ensure equipment and work surfaces meet visual standards.Conducting regular quality checks to verify compliance with customer and legal requirements.Ensuring all records are accurately completed and corrective actions are documented when issues arise.Collecting meat and environmental samples for microbial testing.Adhering to site health & safety procedures.Completing customer traceability documentation.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have or demonstrate: Fluent English with excellent communication skills and the ability to interact across departments.The ability to work within strict deadlines and targets.Strong problem-solving skills with logical and analytical thinking.Accurate data and record-keeping skills.Flexibility to meet seasonal demands.Previous QC experience is desirable but not essential.
