Senior Data Engineer
Location: Hybrid - Dublin, Ireland
We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer with 6+ years of experience to drive the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and observability frameworks.
You'll play a key role in supporting data science, engineering, and operations teams through efficient ETL processes, analytics, and monitoring tools.
Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for transforming and aggregating data from various sourcesCollaborate with data science and engineering teams to build models and algorithmsDevelop observability pipelines and standards for logging, metrics, and tracingSupport event-driven and messaging architectures (e.g., Pub/Sub)Monitor system performance, detect anomalies, and support incident responseVisualise data and telemetry insights using tools like Power BI or TableauPromote best practices in instrumentation, data governance, and documentationRequired Skills: Strong Python and SQL skills (3+ years)Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau)Familiarity with AWS (Redshift, RDS); Azure or GCP is a plusBackground in observability tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecturesStrong communication skills for cross-functional collaborationPreferred Qualifications: Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT frameworksAutomation/scripting for infrastructure and data workflowsProfessional certifications in cloud, data, or observability technologies
