CREGG are seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join a global leader and thriving medical device company based in Co.
Cork.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to take a hands-on leadership role within our manufacturing operations.
You'll lead a team of 3 technicians and play a key part in driving production efficiency, supporting automation initiatives, and maintaining high standards in equipment performance.

Shift
– Swing Shift – 4 days on 3 off – 3 on 4 off –12hr – 6pm – 6am
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of 3 manufacturing technicians.
Support and oversee daily operations across manufacturing and automated production lines.
Conduct and manage equipment process validations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for production equipment and drive effective problem-solving initiatives.
Plan and execute maintenance strategies to maximise equipment uptime and reliability.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, R&D, and Operations teams reporting any issues to senior management.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Qualifications & Experience:
Level 8 Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Experience leading or mentoring a small manufacturing team – leadership skills.
Knowledge of equipment process validation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Excellent problem solving ability and strong communication skills.
Experience in a GMP regulated industry, ideally medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
