Commencing in June 2026,the Graduate Support Worker position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your professional skills and make a difference.The Graduate Support Worker will be a member of a multi-disciplined team using holistic approaches to support Depaul service users.Working within the principle of harm minimisation, residents receive a high degree of care, support, and dignity.Depaul is committed to service user participation and empowering residents to manage their own lives.This role works across a 7-day week rota.At the end of the twelve-month programme, graduates will be able to:Work as a member of a multi-disciplined team in the best interests of the residents and report to the team.Encourage and support service users to develop skills in managing their daily living.Observe and attend key worker sessions with service users when required.Provide a presentation on experience of the Graduate Programme.KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITYEncourage and support service users to develop skills in managing their daily living.Ensure the service is kept to a good standard of tidiness, cleanliness, and hygiene, including communal areas, in conjunction with residents and the rest of the team.Encourage service users to take responsibility for maintaining their own environment.Observe and attend key worker sessions with service users when required.Provide a report on an assigned case study during Support Worker Rotation.Assist residents with personal monies, service charge payments, etc., where necessary, in conjunction with the project team.Carry out project administration tasks such as petty cash management, project statistics, invoices, record keeping, Service User files, OTIS, IR, and AR completion.Ensure that Health and Safety standards are met within the project in accordance with Depaul's policies.Undertake duties related to overall health, safety, and security of the service, including the use of security systems.Support residents to maintain positive mental health.Work as a member of a multi-disciplined team, reporting to the team and partner agencies when Case Workers are unavailable.Plan and facilitate onsite social activities.Attend and participate in team meetings and staff days.Participate in regular supervision and annual appraisals, identifying job-related development and training needs.Participate in ongoing graduate programmes and events.The above list is not exhaustive; additional responsibilities may be added over time.PERSON REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCEQualification in the Social Care field (Social Care, Psychology, Social Science, Criminology, or Community Development).Relevant experience, such as student placements or voluntary work in the Social Care sector.Understanding of why people become homeless and the issues they face, with knowledge of support options in homeless services for those with complex needs.Knowledge of statutory and voluntary sector resources available to homeless people.Good communication skills and computer literacy.Understanding of Depaul's vision, mission, and values.Ability to work shifts.DesirableDriving License.CORU REGISTRATIONThis post is subject to CORU registration.If you do not hold current registration, you must demonstrate that you are working towards it, with existing experience within the Social Care sector.#J-18808-Ljbffr
