HGV Mechanic

HGV Mechanic My Client, a Nationwide Distributor, seek to hire a HGV Mechanic This role will suit someone with experience fault diagnosis, service maintenance and repairs of heavy goods vehicles This is a Monday to Friday role. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair faults: Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) and conduct necessary repairs. Routine maintenance: Perform regular servicing, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and inspections, to ensure vehicles meet safety and operational standards. Carry out diagnostic fault finding along with mechanical servicing, maintenance and repairs. Minor body repair works. Managing and updating vehicle maintenance schedules. Liaise with the Fleet Manager on vehicle progress and defects that require attention. Complete repairs to a high standard and efficiently within time lines in accordance with manufacture procedures. Maintain a clean and tidy workshop while adhering to all health and safety guidelines. Requirements 2+ years experience with HGV Vehicles.
