About the teamThe vendor strategy's team mission is to support Stripes' global expansion by creating a high-performing, scalable, and sustainable vendor ecosystem that leverages the collective benefit of Stripe.
We offer a myriad of support services to our operations delivery teams and set the strategy for supplier usage across Stripe.
We do this through a deeply connected strategy with our delivery partners in operations, planning, finance, and sales.
By working closely with our vendor partners and internal teams we ensure they consistently deliver the outcomes our teams need and do so through a deep and connected strategy.
What you'll doAs Stripe's user base and global footprint grows we are looking for an experienced Vendor Program Manager who brings both strategic and operational abilities to lead our strategy and rationalization of our outsourcing relationships.
Our vendors provide full-cycle operational support across Sales, User Operations, Risk and Financial Crimes.
You are responsible for supporting the operations teams to ensure that the vendors are providing world class outcomes for our users, internal stakeholders, and overall business outcomes.
You will be working closely with cross-functional leaders and operational teams across our Operations, Planning, Enablement, Sourcing, F&S and Infrastructure teams.

Must haves:
Vendor management experience, ability to work with external partners, work in an environment where you are looking at delivery metrics, commercials, etc
Strong stakeholder management - workforce management, sales/operations stakeholders, partners.
Strategic thinking - understand the long term goals of Stripe and ensure our network has the right partners, profiles, pricing, locations, strategy and capacity to meet those needs at scale.
Nice to haves:
Contractual experience - knowledge of major providers in this space, global pricing competitiveness, best practices on MSA's and SOW's
Exp across different geographies - global role.
Experience in large scale operations and GTM/ Sales.
Knows the different programs and enablement support required to run a successful vendor relationships
ResponsibilitiesYou will be working closely with external vendor partners and internal teams to develop and execute on a strategy to optimize the supplier landscape building a strategy that aligns to Stripes internal needs and strategy
Have direct responsibility for supporting and ensuring vendor operations are healthy and maximize performance across the lifecycle of programs.
Ensure our internal business partners and key stakeholders understand and can execute their services within our partner ecosystem.
That they understand the performance and value of our services and that we scale our capacity to meet the growth of the business needs.
Source new vendor partners or expand scope of service offering with current vendor partners
Partner with existing vendor leadership teams to ensure vendor's high level execution to contracts.
Lead negotiations and relationship management for vendor contracts, change orders, or renewals
Transmit and foster our values, serving as a beacon of Stripe's user-centric philosophy and culture of transparency, empathy, inclusion, and empowerment

Minimum requirements10+ years of experience leading vendor operations (preferably in high-growth, sales, financial services, or technology companies)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A strong operational background and a track-record of making data driven decisions
The ability to execute on and deliver complex operational projects involving multiple stakeholders
Preferred qualificationsDeep experience managing operational third-party vendor and internal teams across different time zones
You enjoy doing whatever it takes to execute on complex initiatives, and have a track record for taking projects from conception to launch
You have a knack for working well with a wide range of people across internal teams and external vendors
You are action-oriented, with strong organization skills and attention to detail
You enjoy dealing with ambiguity, and do whatever it takes to execute on complex projects
You excel in analytical thinking and problem solving, and use first-principles thinking and data to structure strategic recommendations
You have a process-oriented mindset and ability to lead people to get things done
You are humble, and have a proven track record for working well across teams and with external partners
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users.
This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €110,400 - €165,600.
This range may change if you are hired in another location.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and specific location.

Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant's location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process.
