Toolmaker County Westmeath A leading sub-contract manufacturer of precision injection moulded and assembled components for the medical, automotive, and ICT sectors is currently seeking an experienced Toolmaker.
This is a permanent role based in County Westmeath.
The company offers a wide variety of mouldings and technologies, ranging from complex multi-cavity, multi-shot components to finished and packed devices and assemblies.

Operating from a modern manufacturing facility in Ireland, the company supports customers across Europe and globally.
Responsibilities: Perform scheduled tool maintenance pre- and post-production, as well as support reactive maintenance during production.
Carry out incoming verification on tool spares procured.
Review and maintain plastic injection tools, jigs, and fixtures as required.
Fully dismantle, clean, polish, inspect for wear, report findings, and reassemble tools.
Maintain accurate records of tool maintenance activities.
Perform root cause investigations as needed and support corrective actions to address quality and process issues.
Participate in validation of new products and equipment when required.
Requirements: Fully qualified Toolmaker.
Experience with hot runner and valve gate systems, including wiring.
Strong background in repair and maintenance of injection moulding tools.
Proven problem-solving skills.
Hands-on experience with plastic injection moulding, over-moulding, and 2-shot moulding processes.
Skills: Self-motivated, conscientious, and able to work on own initiative.
Strong team player, able to collaborate and work effectively to meet continuous deadlines.
