JOB TITLE: Behaviour Support TherapistLOCATION: Mullingar, Co.WestmeathCONTRACT: Full Time- 39 hours per weekREPORTING TO: Therapy ManagerESSENTIAL SKILLS:·Have a minimum Level 7 degree in the field of health and social care.·Have completed professional training in multi-element behaviour support.·Be able to work cohesively as part of a multidisciplinary team.·Have a full clean driving licence and own vehicle.· All GALRO staff require to be Garda Vetted at least every three years.KEY TASKS:Contribute to improved outcomes for children and adults who present with behaviour challenges.Carry out comprehensive assessments to define behaviours, and establish function of the presenting behaviour.Devise behaviour management plans and behaviour support plans with recommended interventions to improve the overall quality of life for service users.Review behaviour management and behaviour support plans in collaboration with management and front-line staff, recommending improvements, adjustments and change as necessary, to enhance the service user's general wellbeing.Evaluate care plans in respect of support strategies and interventions, and review, revise and update care plans in that regard.Champion positive behaviour support and develop a shared expertise within the care team.This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties involved and consequently the post holder will be required to perform other duties relevant to the post, which may be assigned from time to time and to be pro-active in developing the post.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From €38,****** per yearEducation:Advanced/Higher Certificate (preferred)Licence/Certification:Full Driver Licence (required)Work Location: In person
