As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur's Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Language Manager (Simplified Chinese) to join the team and help craft the high-calibre games our fans expect.
This role is a 2 year Fixed Term Contract.
Responsibilities
Own the quality of the Simplified Chinese translations
Translate in-game text, voice scripts, marketing and PR content as required to support products and services through development, launch and beyond
Create and maintain translation memories, glossaries, and style guides
Provide cultural and creative input regarding the localization of Larian products into the target region
Maintain awareness of the games industry in the target market and communicate trends to relevant stakeholders
Develop and build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders to resolve questions or conflicts related to terminology, language quality and workflow
Playtests to confirm in-game text context for accurate translation
Collaborate with external localization vendors to improve language quality
Requirements
2 years of experience or more localizing video games
Strong writing and editing skills in Simplified Chinese
Fluent in English
Experience localizing time-delimited dialogues
Experience with CAT Tools; memoQ is a plus
Nice to Haves
At least one AAA game shipped
Experience with voice acting casting
Experience with Confluence and JIRA
