Position: Senior UI and API Test EngineerGreat Contract role (11 months plus) available in Galway (hybrid working - ideally based within commutable distance to Galway)Ideal candidate will have a proven knowledge on a number of testing skills, be detail oriented and will work closely with the development team.Job Role:As a Senior QA Automation Engineer you will be applying your strong test automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software solutions.You will work as part of a new team developing performance measurement and analytics software.Key Responsibilities:· Design and implement automated test solutions for UI and API layers.· Collaborate with developers and analysts to ensure testability of features.· Lead test planning and execution for complex features.· Mentor junior QEs and contribute to knowledge sharing.· Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration and test automation maintenance.· Drive continuous improvement in testing practices and tools.Skills and responsibilities:* Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline* Experience in Testing and Test Automation* Strong experience with Agile methodologies.* Proficiency in front-end automation (e.g., Selenium, Playwright preferred).* Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or Java.* API testing experience using tools like Postman, REST-assured/Karate.* Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).* Strong communication and collaboration skills.* Experience with Jira, Xray, or similar tools.* Experience of working within an agile development environment.* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Please note you will need to be based in Ireland and unfortunately, we are not in a position to offer visa sponsorship.Adecco Ireland is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
