RTÉ is Ireland's national public-service media organisation.
We are embarking upon an ambitious and exciting 5-year transformation strategy to update the way we run the organisation.
Our mission is to serve as an independent source of stories, news, information and entertainment for Ireland, reflecting the diversity of its people and providing experiences that enrich the lives of all.
This sense of purpose motivates us to deliver to the highest standards in an environment that is collaborative, supportive and engaging.
Attracting and retaining the best talent is key in delivering to our audiences.
We want our people to thrive in an environment that values their output.
Meet the team
We are responsible for ensuring the high quality of RTÉ's output across multiple platforms, overseeing the preparation, review and/or output of RTÉ's channels and content, ensuring that content is seamlessly delivered across all platforms, to the highest standards.
This position is crucial to maintaining high-quality content standards and addressing any technical or editorial discrepancies as they arise.
Reporting to the Platform Control Supervisor, you will oversee the smooth delivery of content, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate closely with multiple teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with broadcasting and digital standards.

About the role:
Ensure all content complies with platform-specific requirements, regulations, and internal content guidelines.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure high quality output, optimising content for each platform, ensuring the best possible audience experience.
Work closely with content, production, scheduling, and technical teams to ensure the timely and accurate release or broadcast of content on all platforms.
This also includes associated services such as subtitling and audio description, to ensure a successful overall output of channels and services.
Ensure metadata is accurately captured and distributed, exploring cross-platform opportunities to serve and grow audiences, automating where possible to allow for scale and volume.
Proactively identify and troubleshoot any technical or content-related issues, resolving issues quickly and minimising disruptions to the audience experience.
Embrace future ways of working including the integration of new technologies and services within the media supply chain, from cloud-based to AI-driven solutions.
Being fully compliant with, and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of, all technological and operational requirements in your area.
Full understanding of emergency/BCP procedures.
About you:
Highly experienced in ensuring smooth and accurate output across various platforms, including linear and digital, whilst maintaining strict compliance with all editorial and regulatory requirements.
Possess a strong combination of technical expertise, attention to detail, and an in-depth understanding of broadcasting and media systems, standards and regulations.
Possess a thorough knowledge of output workflows, scheduling, and content delivery systems.
A strong understanding of the regulatory landscape to ensure adherence to codes and guidelines related to audiences, advertising rules etc.

The ability to anticipate issues, troubleshoot in real-time, and implement solutions is crucial in this often fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Meticulous, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying and resolving any compliance or broadcast-related concerns before they impact broadcast or on demand.
Ability to grasp new software, technologies, and platform requirements, adapting efficiently to an evolving digital environment.
Constantly looking for ways to improve and optimise workflows, to anticipate challenges, and suggest innovative solutions.
