At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for a Global Finance Director within our Business Partnering team located at our Global Headquarters in Leopardstown, Dublin 18.

Role Summary: The Financial Business Partnering group is a global team providing financial analysis & support to the global service lines within ICON.
You will be pivotal in providing objective financial and consulting services, shaping the strategy for ICON's business growth & success.

This key position offers the opportunity and visibility to partner with the SLT and operational leadership within the Global Large Pharma group of ICON, one of the largest business units.

The role involves providing strategic leadership and analysis, acting as a trusted adviser, and adding value through decision-making support central to successful Finance Business Partnering.

Oversight and Leadership The Global Finance Director will be responsible for people leadership and development within the Finance Business Partnering group.
The team comprises ambitious and talented financial professionals; the director will lead and represent this group.

Role responsibilities: Manage complex functional areas/business units with multiple service lines/departments.
Provide analysis, interpretation, and advice on large-scale strategic decisions to the SLT and Service Line VP.
Contribute to financial & business strategy in global and regional contexts, impacting the success of the business unit.
Deliver key reports such as Quarterly Business Reviews and Budgets to the ICON PLC CEO and CFO.
Demonstrate exemplary people management and leadership skills, building a highly skilled team to meet business growth projections.
Be commercially aware, understanding and anticipating operational and management needs.
Apply problem-solving as a core aspect of finance business partnering.
What you will need: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, etc.)
or relevant experience.
Minimum of 7 years' experience in financial analysis or planning.
Experience managing functional areas, service lines, and teams.
Results-focused with an understanding of senior management priorities.
Self-confident, decisive, with strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proven leadership with tenacity, professionalism, and the ability to compromise.
Ability to build trust-based relationships across all organizational levels.
