Job Description: As a Structural Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the structural engineering team in the design and implementation of various construction projects. This role involves collaboration with engineers, architects, and project managers, utilizing cutting-edge software to deliver precise and reliable structural designs. You'll be integral in creating accurate 2D and 3D drawings, ensuring project specifications are met, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and develop detailed structural drawings and plans in line with project requirements. Use industry-standard CAD software to assist in the design and detailing of structural elements. Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet technical specifications. Conduct site visits to assess project progress and verify measurements and details. Prepare documentation to support project design and ensure accuracy throughout each stage of development. Review drawings for quality and accuracy, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Assist in resolving technical issues and updating project documentation as needed. Qualifications and Skills: 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Structural Technician. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other industry-standard design software (e.g., Revit, BIM software is advantageous). Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and design principles. Familiarity with Irish and EU building codes and regulations. Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality technical drawings. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
