Associate Software Engineer The Conversational AI team are helping drive major changes in Self and Assisted Services to deliver better outcomes, better experiences and lower costs.
We are looking for a talented Associate Software Engineer to join the Conversational AI team, and help build products and services to bring the benefits of this technology to Genesys customers.
Location: This is a full-time, on-site role in our state of the art office in Galway City, where you'll work hands-on with a focused team that values fast feedback, close collaboration, and building great things together. As an Associate Software Engineer in the Conversational AI team, you will be designing and developing high quality software to deliver key features of the Product roadmaps.
You will be working on tools and infrastructure challenges involving machine learning and software engineering to deliver AI powered conversational solutions.
You will be joining a collaborative team of like-minded people who thrive on technical problem solving and relish design challenges.
Working in an Agile team environment, our teams are full-stack, with capabilities to deliver full features across Front-End, Back-End, Eventing and Storage layers.
Genesys Software Engineers think through implementation details of scale, security and usability.
We write code in Java, and work with many technologies, including DynamoDB, SQS, Kafka, Jenkins, GIT etc, all on AWS.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in implementation of the Bots product, part of our AI Platform
Bring features all the way through the Design, Develop, Test, Deploy & Maintain cycle
Build your skills in software engineering in a supportive environment
Minimum Requirements: Honours 2.1 Degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related disciplines
You are an excellent programmer,and know how to write quality code in Java.
Good understanding of Software algorithms and data structures
Experience working with REST APIs
Understanding of cloud concepts
This role is suitable for recent graduates or somebody with up to 2 years of experience.
You want to work and grow in a dynamic team environment
Desirable Skills: We expect you to have experience with some of the following technologies and are willing to learn the rest: Python
Distributed Systems and Micro-Services
AWS technologies – we mostly work with DynamoDB, Lambdas and Ec2 instances.
Jenkins
GIT
