The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in UK's & Ireland's Building Services sector.Alternative Heat design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.What We Do:We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe.We also offer turnkey design, build, and operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public bodies throughout UK & Europe.Team Overview:The Contracts department oversees the delivery and execution of projects from initial mobilisation through to completion and handover.Acting as the bridge between design, commercial, and on-site teams, the department ensures that all contractual obligations are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.With a focus on planning, resource coordination, and problem-solving, the Contracts team plays a key role in ensuring our projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the satisfaction of our clients.Role Overview:Due to continued growth, we are looking to integrate a Mechanical Fitter to support our growing team in our Dundalk Site.This post is a permanent contract.It is an amazing opportunity for a candidate that wants to gain experience with a progressive and dynamic company to further your career.The role is factory based and will range from pipe module assembly to plantroom assembly depending on experience.Job Title|Factory Mechanical PipefitterLocation|Dundalk, Co.LouthHours|Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm and Friday 7am-4pmSalary|Competitive Depending on ExperienceResponsible to|Project ManagerWhat You'll be Doing:The successful candidate will assist in the installation of prefabricated pipework.They will also have to assemble screwed pipework working off and drawing pack on different projects.They will review assembly drawings, position, and install the support bracketry.Position and install the correct pipework in our wide range of modules, ranging in design and sizes.Successful candidate will follow this process throughout all live projects.They will also be involved in the assembly of our prefabricated plantrooms.Once these works are completed, they will carry out pressure testing on all pipework or equipment installed.Other works involved are, bolt torquing, insulation block installs, threaded rod capping, additional bracketry install etc.What You Need to Have:2 years' experience within the mechanical industry completing similar duties.The ability to read and understand assembly and schematic drawings.Basic set of mechanical tools.Reliable & punctual.Good teamwork skills.Willingness to help in other areas of the assembly yard.What You Would Ideally Have:Full UK Driving license would be preferred.Valid CSR CardCurrent Forklift licenseForklift, overhead crane, or elevated work platform (EWP) license (advantageous)Relevant certifications – NVQ etc.Employee Benefits:Full in-house training and career development opportunitiesCompetitive pension schemeLife assurance schemeHealth cash planFree annual health check during working hours30 days annual leave increasing in line with length of service.Social events organised for all employees throughout the year via our Health and Wellbeing committee.Secure, free onsite parkingFree Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Tea, and Fruit provided daily.Friendly and supportive working environment in state-of-the-art facilities
