OverviewWe are seeking aSupply Chain Plannerto join Bunzl Ireland on a maternity leave cover.This pivotal role ensures accurate forecasting and seamless supply of finished goods across our operations.The successful candidate will develop and maintain forecast models, drawing insights from Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Replenishment teams.They will also manage supply planning through MRTP systems to maintain exceptional service levels for Bunzl customers.ResponsibilitiesSupporting the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and contributing to monthly demand reviews.Generating periodic forecasts for a large and diverse product portfolio, with a focus on reducing financial risk.Driving improvements in forecast accuracy and analysing root causes of forecast gaps.Maintaining and enhancing demand planning systems and processes to improve reliability.Assisting in risk assessment and mitigation activities across the supply chain.Collaborating with Sales to align on growth trends and incorporate them into demand assumptions.Managing strategies for slow moving and obsolete stock.Maintaining accurate and up to date master data.Reviewing system generated order suggestions and processing orders accordingly.Monitoring stock availability and ensuring effective stock rotation based on sales trends.Ensuring ETAs are accurate and regularly reviewed with suppliers and transport partners.Building and maintaining demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation and time horizons.Evaluating statistical forecasts and identifying gaps or inconsistencies.Preparing analysis and presentations for Demand Review meetings.Developing robust monthly demand plans using statistical techniques and market intelligence.Working closely with Product Line Managers to reflect product changes in demand plans and communicate updates to distribution centres, manufacturing sites, and suppliers.Collaborating with Supply Chain Coordinators and the Material Management team to ensure SIOP forecast volumes inform planning decisions, including replenishment, capacity, procurement, and assembly.Supporting the use of reporting and analytical tools to monitor performance, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.Managing supply for the assigned portfolio and reviewing supplier performance.Ensuring high levels of product availability are consistently achieved.Experience RequiredMinimum 2 years' experience in a supply chain function, with a focus on demand and/or supply planning.Strong understanding of forecasting and inventory management principles.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Excellent communication and follow-up skills to manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts.Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to distil complex data into actionable insights.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Experience with forecasting software is highly desirable.Solid understanding of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.Strong influencing skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Good working knowledge of supply chain best practices.BenefitsWe offer competitive rates of pay and benefits, including a company pension scheme, healthcare cash plan, share save plan, long service awards, enhanced maternity/paternity pay, Employee Assistance Program, life assurance, and 20 days of annual leave increasing to 25 days with service, with the opportunity to purchase additional holidays, Cycle to Work Scheme, and employee discounts.We are proud to be an Equal Opportunities employer, committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone is treated with respect and has equal access to opportunities.#J-*****-Ljbffr
