The Colas Group operates internationally in all aspects of transport infrastructure.As part of the global organisation, Colas Ireland is primarily involved the distribution of bitumen products, emulsion and emulsifier manufacturing, and the provision of specialist road maintenance services on the national, regional and local road network.In Ireland Colas operates from 14 locations across the island of Ireland.Main ResponsibilitiesConduct chemical, bitumen and bitumen emulsion testing to defined specifications and test proceduresRecord, analyze and communicate test results to the Technical Manager, plant foreman and other team membersParticipate in product development work and technical support – for both Chemoran, the group of Colas companies and external customersParticipate in the development of new test methodsEnsure equipment is calibrated and standardized according to scheduleCommunicate with Technical Manager to maintain an adequate inventory of small equipment, chemicals, and other supplies needed in the laboratoryUnderstand and comply with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems of the Colas Ireland groupPerform other general tasks and appropriate duties as requiredIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering or Chemical Engineering.It is essential you have Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.As a Chemoran Graduate Engineer, you will be a quick learner with good numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills.You will have good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.Last but not least, you will be self-motivated and able to work both under own initiative and as a team player.#J-*****-Ljbffr
