Senior Technical Architect

Overview
We're seeking a Senior Technical Architect to lead the design of innovative software solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards and drive meaningful outcomes for government clients.
In this pivotal role, you'll act as a Subject Matter Expert, shaping end-to-end architectures and guiding their successful implementation across complex digital environments.

Responsibilities
Liaise with our client's Enterprise Architect, the business and relevant stakeholders, including technical specialists, to define requirements.
Interpret, use and apply information contained within Enterprise architecture to inform a range of business improvement activities, particularly those involved in the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of ICT systems.
Ensure that the overall ICT architecture is maintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for its security and quality.
Act as a subject matter expert focused on the design process.
Adheres to a given set of constraints specified at the outset of the design process.
Provide high-level and detailed estimates for projects.
Manage risks appropriate to the contract team in the delivery of agreed deliverables.
Identify improvements to system architecture and processes.
Manage delivery of application functionality by all the resources and to ensure that the outputs adhere to the quality and governance standards specified for the project.
Provide project reports and architecture documents as required
Qualifications
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

Technical Skills
:
Demonstrate expertise in the interpretation, use and application of information contained within an enterprise architecture to inform a range of business improvement activities, particularly those involved in the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of systems.
Demonstrate expertise in the provision of leadership and direction of a software development team or teams towards a common technical vision in the delivery of the services to our clients.
Demonstrate ability in ensuring that the overall enterprise architecture is maintained in a coherent
manner and that appropriate considerations are made for its security and quality.
Provide expertise in the management and delivery of multiple system modules or projects
Have proven experience in the design and development of new systems on Red Hat OpenShift.
Have proven experience in modernisation of existing applications onto the Red Hat OpenShift platform.

Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively
Ability to lead and mentor, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing

Self-driven and disciplined

Experience
7+ years of experience in technical architecture
Experience with the development of enterprise systems using open-source software.
Public sector experience preferred
