Job Title: General Operative - Cold RoomLocation: Killowen FarmDepartment: Production/ManufacturingReports To: Production Supervisor/ManagerJob Type: Full-Time/Part-time/Variable.About us:Killowen Farm is a family business based in Co.Wexford.Renowned for its creamy taste, Killowen Farm yogurt combines the freshest milk from the Dunne family's own dairy herd with the highest quality fruit, sourced from local growers.Known primarily for its premium layered and stirred fruit yogurts, Killowen Farm has also recently added a range of award-winning Cream Cheese products to its range.At Killowen Farm, our people are family.We foster a supportive and collaborative working environment where employees are respected, trained, and encouraged to develop their skills.Whether you're just starting your career or bringing years of experience, you'll find opportunities to grow with us.Job Summary:As a General Operative, you will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing, and quality control of yogurt & Cheese products.Picking Orders.You will operate machinery, monitor production processes, and ensure that all work complies with food safety standards and company procedures.You will be working in a cold enviornment.Key Responsibilities:Picking OrdersOperate and monitor production machinery and equipment used in yogurt manufacturing.Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to specified recipes and production requirements.Follow hygiene, health, and safety guidelines at all times.Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company and regulatory standards.Maintain accurate production records and complete necessary documentation.Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas in compliance with food safety standards.Identify and report any production or machinery issues to the supervisor.Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production targets.Requirements:Previous experience in food production or a similar manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential).Basic understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.Flexible with shift patterns and willing to work weekends or overtime if required.Team player with good communication skills.Computer skillsPreviouis expereince using a Power Pallet Truck.Working Conditions:PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) provided.Rotating shifts, Early start shifts (3-5am start times), or fixed shifts depending on operational needs.Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
