Hours of work: Full-Time, 35 hours

Job SummaryThe position requires a strategic approach to the development of services and structures, embracing continuous quality improvement and technological development, and the management of changes necessary to achieve organisational objectives.
ResponsibilitiesPrincipal Duties & Responsibilities: To perform duties under the general direction of the Chief Medical Scientist and Senior Medical Scientist.To perform all aspects of technical work to the highest standard.To supervise and support medical scientists and medical laboratory assistants.To organise the technical programme for efficient work patterns.To inspect laboratory equipment and ensure proper maintenance.To collaborate on maintaining efficiency and introducing new methods.To assist in safety, health, and welfare measures for staff.To assist in training students, on-call personnel, junior staff, and visitors.To maintain ISO15189 accreditation status.To represent the Chief Medical Scientist at meetings when required.To attend courses and meetings for up-to-date knowledge.To perform other duties as appropriate to the grade.The job description is subject to review and amendment based on hospital strategies and developments.
QualificationsSelection Criteria: Applicants will be assessed based on qualifications, skills, knowledge, and experience relevant to the role.
