Three Steps is a privately owned business providing therapeutic residential care to children, young people and vulnerable adults.Our mission is to enhance the unique potential of all those in our care.Our qualified teams deliver multidisciplinary assessment and intervention, underpinned by highly skilled and experienced Therapeutic Support Consultants.Central to the delivery of our therapeutic care are our core values - Belief, Respect, Passion, Collaboration, Perseverance, and Ownership - underpinned by our Model of Care.We believe that everyone has the ability to change and to flourish.Each individual in our care has strengths and skills that can be nurtured and our teams work to support these.Healthcare Assistant, Night Support As a Healthcare Assistant delivering "live night" support at Three Steps, you will work in an attachment and trauma informed manner to support those in our care, be that in our children's disability services, our children's mainstream services, or our adult services.Those we care for sometimes have autism and/or other diagnoses, may also have a complex combination of emotional, behavioral, family and mental health needs.All our team members are central in enabling them to enhance their unique potential.Your role includes:Provide the highest standard of trauma-informed therapeutic care to those in our care at Three StepsEstablish a positive relationship with those we care for in the team you work withSupport the young people in their night-time routines, on occasions when they wake during the night and with their morning routinesFollow guidance with regard to assisting the young people to settle and return to sleep during the nightContribute to the promotion, creation and maintenance of a welcoming, caring and therapeutic environmentDeliver household duties (as appropriate for night-time ) to support the running of the houseCommunicate with the team to provide detailed updates of night-time activitiesWork as part of a multi-faceted team, liaising with our therapeutic support clinicians to deliver comprehensive therapeutic care which meets the complex needs of those in our careMaintain all relevant records in a consistent and efficient mannerDeliver other ad-hoc duties as assigned in line with the needs of the serviceHealthcare Assistant - your profile:Level 5 qualification in Healthcare, Social Care or an appropriate equivalentProfessional approach with an innate ability to deliver trauma-informed therapeutic careCaring, committed, honest individual with great communication skillsFlexibility regarding working hours (overnight and/or day shifts if needed)Excellent problem solver with good judgement and decision making abilitiesPrevious experience of working in residential care (disability services) would be excellentFluency in written and spoken English, and eligible to work in IrelandA full clean driving license (with no restrictions) and use of a car to get to/from workThree Steps - what we offer:This is a both a challenging and also an extremely rewarding environment to work in.At Three Steps, we invest a lot in our teams.You will benefit from continuous professional development, guidance and support from Management, with specialized input via consultation time with our Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists.We work with our teams to enhance your abilities, enabling all our team members to become skilled therapeutic care practitioners.We also offer competitive remuneration and benefits, and a supportive team of colleagues who enjoy their roles and who work every day to enhance the unique potential of all those in our care.
