ReferenceSpeciality / Area of expertiseEarly Childhood Education, R.N.I.D, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy or Social WorkJob DescriptionChildren's Disability Network Team (CDNT5)Lead Agency Stewarts CareApplications are invited for the above Early Intervention Specialist position.A panel will be formed from which other permanent or temporary posts may be filled.Overview of the PostThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Intervention Specialist to work as a member of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with MDT colleagues providing services to children from 0-10 years and families who are accessing the Children's Disability Network Team.The Early Intervention Specialist (EIS) provides a unique family and child centred, home and community based early intervention service.They offer a key working, routines-based model, combining specific, holistic and outcome focused interventions with measurable outcomes for children aged from birth to six years, with or at risk of Developmental Delay/ intellectual Disability.The EIS provide families and carers with a practical framework to support their child's learning and development, supporting transitions, participation, and full inclusion in their community.Continuous Professional Development Opportunities are supported, and professional clinical supervision will be provided.The ability to manage and prioritize a busy caseload, and work in an inter-disciplinary way using a family centered practice approach are keys requirements of the role.Suitably qualified applicants, demonstrating the criteria set out below are invited to apply for the above permanent full-time position:Degree in Early Childhood Education, R.N.I.D, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Social Work or other related disciplineHave 5 years post qualification experience working with children with a variety of complex needs including Intellectual Disability, Autism, and Physical Disability.Possess extensive in-depth knowledge and experience of early intervention programmes and delivery of sameHave excellent communication and IT skillsWorking with families and following family focused approachExperience of working within teamsConfident in lone workingFlexible and adaptableGood organisational skillsPresentation skills and experience of training deliveryProgramme development and delivery skillsSalary and qualifications are in accordance with Department of Health consolidated pay scales: Current Salary Scale: Senior Therapist Grade, €63,912-€75,254 incl LSI per annum.Type of PositionPermanentWork PatternFull TimeSalary€63,912-€75,254 incl LSI per annum.Additional InformationLocationRossecourt, LucanCountryIreland
