Accounts Assistant/ Bookkeeper

Our Longford client is an Accountancy practice and they are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our growing team.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing bookkeeping, payroll, and general accounting support to a broad range of clients across various sectors.Key Responsibilities Prepare and process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for multiple clients.Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including posting invoices, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns.Assist in the preparation of management accounts and year-end files for accountants.Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain required information.Support the team with ad hoc accounting and administrative duties as required.Key Requirements Previous experience in bookkeeping and payroll within an accountancy practice or similar environment (essential).Strong knowledge of Sage, BrightPay, Thesaurus, QuickBooks, Xero (experience with multiple packages an advantage).Working knowledge of Irish VAT, PAYE, and payroll regulations.Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Benefits Competitive salary based on experience.Opportunities for further training and development.Supportive and friendly working environment.On-site parking and flexible working options may be available.Apply now for this fantastic Accounts Assistant/ Bookkeeper job opportunity.ProSource are a dedicated recruitment company providing finance recruitment solutions nationwide.Lead Recruiter: Danielle O'Callaghan Skills: Bookkeeping Payroll Accounts
