Summary
The NTMA provides asset and liability management services to the Irish Government.
It manages a complex portfolio of public assets and liabilities, including entities such as the National Debt, the State Claims Agency, NewERA, the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, the National Development Finance Agency and others.
The NTMA also assigns staff to related agencies.

Role Summary
The NTMA Finance function provides financial and transaction support to all NTMA business areas.
The Finance Manager will work within the financial reporting team in NTMA Finance, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager - Reporting.
Responsibilities
Production of high quality annual financial statements for the NTMA and related entities in accordance with FRS 102 and to year-end deadlines.
Prepare and review regulatory and other external reporting to bodies such as the Central Statistics Office, Department of Finance, and Central Bank of Ireland.
Provide financial information and analysis to support internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain strong internal controls over reporting processes, including monthly control meetings and remediation tracking.
Lead and develop 2 members of the financial reporting team, including performance management for these direct reports.
Act as key point of contact for internal and external auditors.
Drive continuous process improvements within the financial reporting team and lead/participate in finance and corporate projects as required.
Assist with the preparation and reporting of responses to parliamentary questions and Freedom of Information requests.
Ad hoc reporting and other related duties as required.
Experience
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with six years post qualification experience.
Experience in managing others.
Extensive financial reporting experience in a financial reporting role.
Skills
Strong attention to detail.
Analytical with good problem-solving skills.
A positive outlook and a can-do attitude is essential.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with team members and senior stakeholders.
Ability to initiate change and adapt to changing circumstances.
Knowledge
Detailed knowledge of FRS 102.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with experience in other Microsoft packages.
Pension Abatement
If an appointee has previously been employed in the Civil or Public Service and is entitled to or in receipt of a pension, it will be subject to abatement as described in the Public Service Pensions Act 2012.
Applicants are asked to acknowledge understanding of abatement provisions.
An abatement waiver is not anticipated to be supported.
A pre-employment declaration will be required to confirm prior public sector pension participation.
