What You Will Do
The Sprinkler Design Engineer is responsible for designing Fire Suppression systems using site surveys or supplied drawings.
Based in the Cork office, the successful candidate will train & learn with the design team to support business operations and customer's needs.
Responsibilities include:
Carrying out design work
Ensuring design schedule is met for approval, fabrication & construction, liaising with sales & contract manager with onsite specifications, installation & bracketing; completing Design Risk Assessments
Liaise with Purchasing/Stores regarding head types readily available
Checking all drawings before issuing
Issue drawings to CM and Foreman
Creating of FM, NPFA, EN Completion certs & issue to Contracts Manager for adding to handover packs
Issue design info to get Hydraulic Data plates manufactured

Essential
What we look for
Design experience within a mechanical/electrical/industrial field
Proficient in AutoCAD; 3D capabilities a distinct advantage
A full driving license
Excellent organizational skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Sprinkler design or knowledge would be advantageous
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office
Design experience and knowledge of other types of fire suppression systems would be of real benefit
