School Age Educator

This part time position is for a minimum of hours a week, 38 weeks of the year, working term time.Hours of work are *********pm to 6pm Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Thursday with an option of working additional hours between ******am in our breakfast club.There are many benefits for the right candidate, including above average holiday pay.Salary will be in line with the new Employment Regulation Order.**Please note, our service is not on any public transport route, so your own transport is essential for the position.**Duties and Responsibilities include:Be Responsible for the health safety and welfare of all children in your care.Creating a play based fun curriculum for afterschool children based on their emerging interests.Helping the afterschool children with their homework.Observing the children and documenting their journey through afterschool.Have a working knowledge of Aistear and Siolta and use it in daily practice.Ability to work as part of a team.Minimum Criteria:QQI Level 5 or above in Childcare preferred but not essential, shortlisting may apply.First Aid and Child Protection training desirable.Excellent written and spoken English required.Minimum of 2 years experience in an early years or school age setting desirable.Excellent references and garda vetting required.Job Type: Part-timePay: €*****-€***** per yearExpected hours: ********* per weekBenefits:On-site parkingSick payAbility to commute/relocate:Adare, CO.Limerick V94A8P6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Education:Leaving Certificate (preferred)Licence/Certification:FETAC/QQI Level 6 (preferred)Work Location: In person
