Senior Data Analyst Location: Galway Salary: € Hybrid My financial services client is on the lookout for a talented Senior Data Analyst to join their team in Galway.
The successful candidate will play a key role in uncovering actionable insights, leading complex data projects, and partnering with stakeholders across departments to inform strategic decisions.
You will be hands-on with data, build robust reporting and analytics solutions, and mentor junior analysts in best practices.
Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence roles.
Advanced SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
Proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
Experience with Python or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
Strong business acumen and communication skills - ability to tell a story with data.
Previous experience engaging with senior stakeholders to gather requirements and report insights from analysis.
Nice to have: Previous experience working in the financial services, insurance or banking sectors.
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
