Why Join Us?Impact Lives – Your work will contribute to medical breakthroughs and help patients breathe easier.Career Growth – Clear development pathways to advance your skills and expertise.Keep Learning – Educational Assistance Programme to support your professional development.Great Benefits – Private Health Insurance & Pension Contributions for peace of mind.Based in our R&D facility in Ennis, Co.Clare, Ireland, and reporting to the Product Development Engineering Manager, the Associate Electronics Engineer will partake in a number of projects from concept to post-production.They will be part of a multi-disciplinary project team, working under the co-ordination of a Project Manager.With an extensive portfolio of products and software applications, we are constantly seeking out the best to work with the best.About UsVitalograph is the world's leading manufacturers of medical respiratory diagnostic devices and software, used in the diagnosis of respiratory disorders, and advanced high-reliability equipment and software systems used in respiratory end-point clinical drug trials.The roleThe Electronics Engineer will work in our Spirometry unit, to help drive continuous roadmap delivery.Spirometry is a common office test used to assess how well your lungs work by measuring how much air you inhale, how much you exhale and how quickly you exhale.Spirometry is used to diagnose asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other conditions that affect breathing.The teamThe Spirometry team consists of hardware, mechanical and software engineers and the Electronics Engineer will assist the team in developing and maintaining features for our spirometry devices.ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of Electronics Engineer will include: -· Projectso Designing and developing some aspects of a device.o Assisting the project team in distilling requirements into clear, actionable work packages.o Ensuring project artefacts e.g. documentation are delivered at each release point.o Assist in the design and development of the new productso Assist in the maintenance of the existing products· Peopleo Operating in the project team in a co-operative, respectful manner.o Maintaining a positive and motivating outlook.o Liaison with ex-house consultants and agencieso Liaison with R&D, Production, Materials, Quality, Sales and Marketing staff· Processo Assisting in the planning, scheduling and delivery of engineering outcomes.o Ensuring that all work and tasks carried out are consistent and compliant with our Quality Management System.The ideal candidateThe Electronics Engineer will: -· Have a 3rd level degree, or equivalent, in an Electronic Engineering or related discipline.· Have a strong team ethic.· Have a minimum of 2 years relevant electronic engineering experience.· Demonstrate competence in own area.· Work with moderate guidance in area of knowledge.· Have an ability to read, analyse and understand schematic diagrams & component data sheets.· Have the ability to perform the duties specified effectively and efficiently.· Have the ability to complete all aspects of a given task timely, and to a high standard.· Have the ability to communicate effectively with those he/she works with both in and ex-house.· Have the ability to work with others in a spirit of good will and cooperation.· Have a strong sense of urgency and ownership.· The following skills would be advantageous:o Experience with both analogue and digital systems.o Experience in debug and test of prototype hardware.o Ability to solder.Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
