Job Title: Social Care Worker/ Support WorkerLocation: Kilbixy Paddocks, County WestmeathContract Type: Full TimeKilbixy Paddocks Ability Therapy Centre~Kilbixy Paddocks provides an environment with various themes in a comfortable surrounding that are restorative and refreshing.The aims are many and varied, in essence, this amenity is a venue for individuals to pursue their dreams and achieve their potential in a flexible, and responsive environment.Kilbixy Paddocks has been developed as a purpose-built amenity combining leisure, therapy and personal development.Job PurposeThe primary purpose of this role is to provide high quality, person-centred care to adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.This role requires a compassionate and proactive approach to care, built on trust and respect, and delivered in line with GALRO policies and New Directions.Support Worker Requirements:The candidate will hold a QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or related discipline.Be of an empathetic nature.Be enthusiastic and adaptable.Have excellent communication skills.Have experience working in a regulated Social Care setting.Have a strong understanding of New Directions.Have flexible availability - including weekend work.Key Tasks Include:Provide emotional support to service users and liaise professionally with significant people in the service users life such as parents and siblings.Provide practical support, including personal care and medication management.Support and encourage service users to reach their goals and aspirations.Arrange and actively engage in age appropriate activity.Supervise service users in accordance with their support requirements.Be responsible for the upkeep of daily record keeping including daily reports, incident report, cleaning schedules, medication and administration records.Social Care Worker Requirements:The candidate will hold a Level 7 degree in Social Care Practice or related discipline.Be of an empathetic nature.Have excellent communication skills.Have strong organisational and report writing skills.Have experience working in a regulated Social Care setting.Have a strong understanding of New Directions.Have flexible availability - including weekend work.Key Tasks Include:Provide shift leadership when directed by line management and carry out lead staff duties.Provide emotional support to service users and liaise professionally with significant people in the service users life such as parents and siblings.Provide practical support, including personal care and medication management.Support and encourage service users to reach their goals and aspirations.Arrange and actively engage in age appropriate activity.Supervise service users in accordance with their support requirements.Be responsible for the upkeep of daily record keeping including daily reports, incident report, cleaning schedules, medication and administration records.Benefits:Premium rate of pay for weekend working- additional 33%.Competitive pay rates.Continuous professional development.Refer a Friend scheme.Employee of the month.Employee Assistance Programme.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €*****-€***** per hourExpected hours: No less than 36 per weekBenefits:On-site parkingLicence/Certification:manual drivers licence (preferred)Work Location: In person
