Senior Mechanical Engineer (Medical Device Manufacturing)Job Title:Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Medical Device Manufacturing)CREGG Recruitment is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer for a leading medical device manufacturing company in Galway.Excellent role for candidates experienced in highly automated production line design.Please email****** to discuss.About the job:The Senior Mechanical Designer will collaborate with Equipment Engineering in the design, manufacture, documentation, and continuous improvement of equipment and tooling for the production of medical devicesHours of work:Mon–Friday, 1pm finish on Friday.39-hour week.Salary and benefits:Very competitive above industry rates due to the level of experience required for this role.Industry Sector:Our client is a world leader in the manufacture of cutting-edge automated mechanical equipment used in medical device manufacturing.Career development:Our client offers excellent career development.This role has come online due to the large number of global projects.Excellent opportunity to lead cutting-edge medical device manufacturing projects involving complex automation, manufacturing, AI and vision systems.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneration of equipment designs which meet manufacturing, safety, CE and performance requirements.Designs include new tooling, fixtures, automated machines and modification/upgrades to the same.Providing technical leadership on equipment-related product and process issues.Coordinate activities of a number of technicians/engineers.Design of new equipment for manufacturing.Take a lead role in the design of the equipment from concept to deployment.Work closely with internal and external machine builders to ensure that equipment is built according to specifications and properly handed over to manufacturing.Ensure equipment solutions are delivered within planned schedules and within budget.Ensure documentation/drawing standards for equipment meet requirements.Ensure equipment meets CE marking standards.Evaluate new equipment/processes/chemicals for environmental impact in conjunction with EH&S; follow Environmental Management Procedures relevant to the position.Build quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with quality requirements.Actively participate in departmental and plant Continuous Improvement through Value Improvement Projects, Lean initiatives and departmental standards.RequirementsLevel 8 degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplineMinimum of 4 years experience delivering large-scale highly automated production lines from concept to delivery#J-*****-Ljbffr
